My own thoughts are to look into the homeless issue as a local video storytelling project since this is becoming a reality on numbers of societal planes such as healthcare coverage, home ownership and affordable housing, situations of foreclosure, job losses or restructuring leading to diminishing salaries or allocated services.
A number of organizations offer shelters and services. Washington Families Fund, an unprecedented public-private partnership led by Building Changes ( www.buildingchanges.org) is embarking upon a bold new approach to end homelessness among families and children through the state. Substitute Senate Bill 5219 passed this session is an Act relating to housing for populations at risk of being homeless. Below are two video examples on this issue;
